Spring Blessings & Our Native Plant Garden

by RSHM Eastern American AreaCategory: Updates

Spring greetings from the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary! Although this season of new life and hope is unfolding slowly this year, the indications thus far are invigorating. It is beautiful to see the RSHM Native Garden coming to life once again.

The Garden is now entering its second phase. Sisters Clare McBrien and Edith Hart, who are spearheading this continued effort, have obtained the professional assistance of Ken Uhle, Program Coordinator for Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation. He has donated his service and provided us with a design. Sr. Edith says,

“We hope to add more trees and shrubs and move others in order to create a fuller and more attractive space.”

Sisters in outdoor sun gear lean over a row of potted plants that they are planting in a planter.

Thank you to all our generous donors for making this dream come true!

If you would like to help develop the Native Garden’s second phase, please contact Sam Stanton, Director of Advancement at sstanton@rshmeap.org or (914) 358-5650. Your continued support and partnership is greatly appreciated.

We cannot wait to see what beauty our garden holds in store these next few months!
