On Saturday, January 25th we held a Paint and Sip Fundraising Event in honor of Sr. Mary Heyser at Marymount Convent. 53 participates included RSHM, members of the Extended Family, alumnae of Marymount College, other RSHM School alum, and friends who painted and sipped wine for the afternoon.
Marymount College, class of 1980, were well represented and brought their own berets for the occasion. Mary Vamvoukakis, (MC’06) co owner of La Pittura Art Studio and her partner Vasu, facilitated the event leading the participants through the process of creating a sunset river view of the old Tappan Zee Bridge and lighthouse. More than $750 was raised to support families on the border!
A very special word of thanks to the Provincial Team who sponsored the event and made it possible, to Sr. Monica Walsh for donating her hand crafted blanket as a raffle prize, Sr. Anna Maria Lionetti who created beautiful ambiance and dedication to Sr. Mary Heyser, Clare Horn who donated wine and her time in getting the word out about the event, and Marianne Walsh who is a professional hostess who made sure no one had an empty wine glass.
Thank you to everyone who attended and painted and to all those who did not paint but chose to make a donation. Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Susannah Alao, Director of Life Enrichment
Will there be another Paint and Sip Event scheduled?
Not at this time. But if anything changes, we will post it on our website as well as on our Facebook page.
