From the 4 pm liturgy at St. Rosalie Church where there was practically standing room only and full participation by the congregation to the beautifully decorated Parish Center, it was non-stop celebrating on Sunday, April 24th.
Father Stephen Maddaloni, the pastor of St. Rosalie’s and Fathers Marvin Navas, CM, and Jesus Arevellano, CM, of the Spanish Apostolate of the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary in Southampton, NY, concelebrated the Mass. Afterward, members of the Hispanic community, Centro Corazon de Maria board members, current and former staff, volunteers, benefactors, priests, and parishioners, members of the RSHM and Sister Margaret Mary Fitzpatrick, SC, the Congregational Leader of the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, enjoyed a lovely meal in the parish center that was festooned with balloons and flowers.
More than150 guests joined Sisters Frances Lane RSHM, Mary Lang, RSHM and Mary Beth Moore, SC in toasting the efforts and accomplishments of 20 years. Sisters Mary and Frances were presented with plaques honoring their founding role. Centro Corazon de Maria is a sponsored ministry of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary.
