Motherhood of Mary – Blessed is She

The Immaculate Virgin Mary is the true icon of motherhood for the Church and humanity. She has been present as Mother from the very beginning of Christianity. One of the most beautiful elements of the witness of Mary is that by her fiat, “thy will be done,” she is enabled by God’s grace to take on the role of Mother of God. Her response establishes the role of motherhood for herself and all mothers. She is a model for all who nurture others.

When a person gives generously in motherhood and nurturing, they echo Mary’s beautiful response to the message she receives from God. Join others who are faith-filled as we learn how to best listen to God’s voice through Mary amid all the noise that surrounds us.
