The Program Coordinator, Memory Care, will develop and conduct programs to meet the needs of our resident RSHM Sisters with the goal of fulfilling basic psychological, intellectual, physical, social, cognitive, emotional and spiritual needs in a caring and nurturing environment. The Program Coordinator will assist with other tasks related to the sisters’ needs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field.
- Three years of experience working with geriatric memory care patients.
- Certification and experience in dementia care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to facilitate small group presentations.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct Memory Care programs.
- Establish relationships with family members and community organizations.
- Schedule and coordinate events for sisters in Memory Care status.
- Develop and implement a monthly calendar for Memory Care sisters.
- Assess Memory Care sisters and recommend plan of action for their care.
Physical Requirements
- Able to engage in high energy physical activities
- Must be able to move and/or lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds and arrange furniture as needed.
- Operate standard office equipment.
