Who is God calling you to be?

  • Are you seeking a deeper relationship with God? Is prayer important to you?
  • Do you find that you want to give more of yourself to the service of God’s people, especially those in greatest need?
  • Do you want to live in a community of sisters who care about one another and share a life commitment?

Your calling may be to the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary who seek that all may have life.

Initial steps

Connect

Find a good mentor or spiritual director with whom you can talk.

Experience

Spend time with the RSHM sisters. Take advantage of prayer and retreat opportunities.

Serve

Look for opportunities to engage in service opportunities. Consider volunteering with the RSHM – either at Marymount Convent in Tarrytown, the RSHM LIFE Center in Sleepy Hollow or at Centro Corazon de Maria in Hampton Bays.

Answer the Call

For most people, God’s call is revealed through the ordinary experiences and people of our lives. Through prayer and discernment, you may realize you have a call to religious life.

How We Can Help

Do you need a sacred and peaceful space to discern? Contact us about the possibility of joining the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for a day of prayer.  Spend some time speaking with the sisters about their vocations and experiencing a joyful and loving community.
